Memory Tree and Carol Singing - 2 December 2016

Friday 2nd December 2016 - Wednesday 7th June 2017

On the 2 December, we will once again be helping to get Christmas started with carol singing on the village green and the memory tree.

What is the memory tree? It is an opportunity to stand and remember those that you have loved the lost. In the library, parish council office, Co-op and Downsway shops will be memory tags in the shape of a lit candle; there is no charge for these. Write on the back the names of those that you want to remember. On 2 December at 6pm, we will be singing carols and during this time, the memory tags will be handled to a marshal who will hang it as high as possible onto the tree. We will continue until al the memory tags have been hung.

After the evening, you are welcome to hang your own memory tag on the tree and they will remain there right up until the Christmas tree is taken down.

Make a note in your diary and come and join us.
